Ms. Steen attended St. Mary's Hall where she graduated in 2002 in the Cum Laude Society, President of the National Honor Society, Captain of the Varsity Field Hockey Team and Academic All-American in that sport. She is a Junior at Vanderbilt University where she is an Art History Major and on the Dean's List. She is a member of Kappa Alpha Theta University. She spent the fall semester of 2004 in Florence, Italy with Vanderbilt's Study Abroad Program. Ms. Steen has over forty relatives who have participated in past Coronations, including her mother Weisie Steen who participated in 1972 as a Duchess, was Mistress of the Robes in 1992 and is one of this year's Coronation's Court Artist. Her Grandmother, Henrietta Kleberg Larkin Armstrong also participated as well as her other Grandmother Nell Donnell Steen who was Mistress of the Robes in 1967. Her Father, John Thomas Steen, Jr, was King Antonio LXXIV in 1996 and her Grandfather, John T. Steen, Sr. was King Antonio XLV in 1967.
